Beef Stew With Marsala

Ingredients
  • 3 lb stew meat (very little fat)
  • 2 yellow onions (diced)
  • 3 garlic cloves (pressed)
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1 cup marsala wine (or another sweet red of your choosing.)
  • 1/2 tsp rosemary
  • 1/2 tsp basil
  • 1/2 tsp oregeno
  • tsp salt and pepper to taste
  • Mushroom Froth
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 2 oz dried mushrooms (or 10 fresh mushrooms thinly sliced)
Instructions
    Mushroom Froth
  1. Soak mushrooms in water for one hour.

  3. In 5 quart pot with 2tbsps of oil add meat, onion, and garlic. Saute until meat is well browned.
  4. Add white wine and marsala to the pot. Along with 1/2 cup of mushroom froth.
  5. Add spices, simmer for 1 1/2 hours, and serve.
