Cajun Shrimp and Salmon in a Creamy Alfredo Sauce

This creamy base of this dish can be used in a variety of recipes.  Anything from creamy chicken and veggies, to creamed soups and scalloped dishes, this recipe is surely a winner.

Ingredients
    Creamy Alfredo Sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or milk)
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1 1/2 cup shitake mushrooms
  • medium onion (chopped)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes (sliced in half)
  • 1 pasta noodles (cooked and set aside)
  • Cajun Salmon and Shrimp
  • 4 3 to 4 ounce portion of salmon
  • 1 lb 21-25 shrimp (cleaned and deveined)
  • 1 tbsp caribbean jerk seasoning
  • 1 tbsp cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp butter
Instructions
    Creamy Alfredo Sauce
  1. In a saucepan add butter, onions, mushrooms, and garlic and saute lightly then add flour to make a roux.
  2. Add cream, salt and stir until smooth.
  3. Add pasta and set aside.
  4. Cajun Shrimp and Salmon
  5. In a saucepan melt butter and add oil.
  6. Sear both shrimp and salmon to the desired temperature.
  7. Plate with pasta add tomatoes for garnish. Serve.
