Chocolate Cake

Chocolate cake is a staple in the dessert world. I mean who doesn't love chocolate cake right? When I was preparing for this dessert I was watching my favorite show and drew some inspiration for this cake. I decided to make one using Ghiradelli chocolate chips and I followed it with a dark chocolate cocoa powder for the second cake.  So this inspiration I was telling you about actually came with the frosting! The smaller cake is where I used the chocolate chips which gave the cake a richer taste, I paired it with the maple walnut frosting...  It seemed like such a grown-up dessert.WELL.. chef's kiss because that was a brilliant move! For the second cake, I went back to my childhood and went with a bomb pop idea..I"ll explain, when the ice cream man came around during the summer my heart was always set on the banana and chocolate bomb pops so that's what kinda cake I made. This was a fun one because it compared my adult taste to my childhood taste with the clear winner being my belly! happy baking
