Comfort Sour
The name "Comfort Sour", I believe was given because of the use in this version of a whiskey sour. Nonetheless, you may use any bourbon or rye that you like.
This came from a booklet of drinks circa 1970s is my guess. Here's the page of the booklet this came from
Ingredients

oz
Southern Comfort
(You may use any bourbon, whiskey, rye that you choose.)

.75
oz
fresh lemon juice

1/2
tsp
sugar
Instructions

Dissolve sugar in lemon juice.

Add lemon juice and sugar mixture to a shaker full of ice. Add in Southern Comfort and shake vigorously.

Pour into glass with ice and garnish with a cherry and slice of orange. Serve immediately.
