Comfort Sour

The name "Comfort Sour", I believe was given because of the use in this version of a whiskey sour. Nonetheless, you may use any bourbon or rye that you like.   This came from a booklet of drinks circa 1970s is my guess. Here's the page of the booklet this came from

Ingredients
  • 1.5 oz Southern Comfort (You may use any bourbon, whiskey, rye that you choose.)
  • .75 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
Instructions
  1. Dissolve sugar in lemon juice.
  2. Add lemon juice and sugar mixture to a shaker full of ice. Add in Southern Comfort and shake vigorously.
  3. Pour into glass with ice and garnish with a cherry and slice of orange. Serve immediately.
