Fennel Pork Chops

If you've never had fennel, note that it has a distinctive anise, licorice type flavor.  Here it is paired with garlic and the pair work very well together.

Ingredients
  • 2 pork chops (I prefer thick cut)
  • 2 tbsp fennel seeds
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. push 1 clove of garlic through garlic press and rub into pork
  2. Add 1/2 tbsp of fennel to one side of chop then pound into meat
  3. Fry in olive oil about 7 minutes per side depending on thickness of chop. Internal temperature should be 150-160.
