Fruit Salad with Vanilla Pie Filling

This is a twist on your typical fruit salad. Here you'll take the fruits of your choosing and mix them with pie filling. The original recipe from the book called for lemon pie filling, but not the instant. Here vanilla was used. It's a different twist on an old staple. Enjoy !!!

Ingredients
  • 6 strawberries (sliced)
  • 2 bananas (sliced)
  • kiwi (trimmed and cut)
  • cantaloupe (diced)
  • 2 cup blackberries (can use different amount)
  • cup raspberries (can use different amount)
  • 6 grapes (sliced )
  • orange (cubed oranges optional cut)
  • pineapple (small diced)
  • 2 vanilla pie filling (cook and serve pie filling I used 2 containers)
Instructions
  1. Make the vanilla pie filling according to package directions
  2. While the pie filling is cooling, cut up the fruits you're using as you'd like them
  3. Place everything in a bowl and refrigerate to set, about an hour
  4. Now plate it and enjoy
Recipe Notes

The only thing that might need to be changed is the amount of blackberries and raspberries or to omit them. It made the taste a bit bitter.
