Italian Style Chicken Gizzards

These use the Italian Sauce that is found on this website. Once you've cooked these you can put them over pasta or eat them alone.

Ingredients
  • 2 lb chicken gizzards
  • 2 garlic cloves (pressed)
  • 1 cup dry red wine
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup Italian sauce (https://mymomsrecipebook.com/recipes/italian-sauce)
  • 1 tbsp lemon peel
  • salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. Saute gizzards and garlic in a small amount of olive oil
  2. Add wine, water, and sauce, bring to a boil then cover and simmer 45 minutes
