Maple Peanut Fluff

Yes, fluff. Honestly, I haven't a clue as to what this is supposed to look like, but I essentially made a marshmallow maple fluff.  It's hyper-sweet, thick, and would be amazing with a dark chocolate addition. The original recipe is super simple, so I left it as is. If you are familiar with this nifty concoction, please tell me what it's supposed to look like!!! Otherwise, have fun.

Ingredients
  • 2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 egg whites (beaten)
  • pinch salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup peanuts
Instructions
  1. Gently cook sugar, syrup and water together to 234 degrees, or until it threads from your spoon.
  2. In a cold bowl, beat the egg whites with salt until stiff.
  3. Once stiff, gradually beat in syrup.
  4. Add vanilla and peanuts.
  5. Pour into oiled/buttered tins and set to cool.
  6. Cut into squares.
