Murray”s Water Bagels

A specialty bread that is chewy on the inside and crunchy on the outside.  It has a lite sweetness taste that can be easily  paired with cream cheese, butter, ham or whatever you choose!

Ingredients
  • 1/4 oz instant yeast (7g in Baker's Measurements)
  • 9 1/2 cup water (2247g in Baker's Measurements)
  • 3 tsp salt (13g In Baker's Measurements)
  • 3 tbsp sugar (43g in Baker's Measurements)
  • 6 cup flour (750g in Baker's Measurements)
Instructions
  1. Dissolve yeast in 1 1/2 cups of warm water.
  2. Add salt and sugar. Stir to dissolve.
  3. Add flour and kneed for 10 minutes.
  4. Let rise in bowl for 1 hour.
  5. Form into bagels, place on cookie sheet and let rise for 30 minutes.
  6. Place bagels in the boiling water for 1 minute, turning the bagel over halfway between time.
  7. Remove the bagels from the boiling water and place on a cookie sheet.
  8. Place bagels into a preheated oven of 375*F and bake for 30 minutes.
