Oreo Truffles

These Oreo truffles are the perfect treat for any event. It only takes 3 to 4 ingredients depending on if you're going to use one kind of chocolate or two. They are so easy to make and I took it one step further and took the filling of the Oreos and put it in the middle of the truffle. I hope you enjoy making and eating them.
Servings: 36 yield(s)
Prep Time: 120 mins
Ingredients
  • 36 Oreo cookies whole (405 grams)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (225 grams)
  • 16 oz chocolate candy melt (320 grams)
  • 16 oz white chocolate candy melt (320 grams)
Instructions
  1. Line an 18x13 inch baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place 36 Oreos in a food processor (entire cookie) and pulse to fine crumbs.
  3. Put the crumbs and cream cheese into a mixing bowl and set it to a low to medium speed, mix until fully incorporated.
  4. Scoop mixture out 1 tablespoon at a time and form into 1 inch balls, then take the cream filling from extra Oreos that you have leftover and make a little ball, put it in the middle of the truffle and reroll them into a ball, then place on the prepared cookie sheet.
  5. Place truffles in the freezer for about 1 hr or you could go shorter than that. I like them frozen when I make them.
  6. Melt the candy melts according to the directions on the package.
  7. Remove truffles from the freezer and dip them in the melted chocolate then place them on the prepared cookie sheet again to sprinkle them with the crushed Oreos.
  8. Place the truffles back in the freezer for about an hour or so, the timing is really up to you.
