Toni’s Cabbage Creole
Great appetizer dish for everyone, each roll is packed with flavor.

Ingredients

green cabbage

ground beef

1/2
cup
bread crumbs

2
slices of bacon
(chopped)

onions
(chopped)

tbsp
parsley

tbsp
vinegar
-
1/2
tsp
sage
-
salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
-
Remove the leaves from the cabbage
-
Trim some of the thick stems
-
Pour boiling water over the leaves, let stand 5 minutes and drain thoroughly

Mix the filling together
-
Sauté until browned, stirring frequently
-
Spoon the filling into leaves and wrap around the filling to look like a sausage
-
Secure with toothpick
-
Sauté rolls in enough oil to core bottom of the pan until golden brown or under broiler until brown and heated through
