Zesty Beef and Shrimp Kabobs

Great, easy, summer supper when you don't want to turn the stove on. I serve it over rice. This is a favorite.

Ingredients
  • 8 oz bottle lite Italian dressing
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup red wine
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp red hot pepper sauce
  • 2 lb sirloin (cubed )
  • 1 green pepper (cut into squares)
  • 1 large onion (cut into chunks)
  • 18 mushrooms
  • 2 yellow squash (cut into chunks)
  • cherry tomatoes (optional)
Instructions
    Making the marinade
  1. Combine salad dressing, ketchup, wine, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and red hot pepper sauce; mix well.
  2. Cut steak into 1 1/2 inch cubes. Put steak and shrimp into the marinade. Then put it in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  3. Remove the marinade from the refrigerator. Remove the beef and shrimp from the marinade.
  4. Alternate beef cubes, shrimp, green pepper, onion, mushrooms, and squash on 6 skewers.
  5. Place skewers on a medium heat grill.
  6. Cook 8 to 10 minutes on each side. Brushing occasionally with the marinade as you do so. Just before done, add a cherry tomato on the end of each skewer.
