Chili Con Carne
This recipe is so versatile, you can have it as a main course at lunch or dinner, or even as an appetizer, with some chips.

Ingredients

olive oil
(I used olive oil but you can use any oil you prefer.)

lean ground beef
(ground turkey would be just as delicious )

onion, chopped

green peppers, diced
(If you like spicy foods you could sub with jalapeno.)

large garlic cloves, minced

tomatoes, canned

chili powder

kidney beans, canned

Instructions

In 5qt pot heat salad olive oil on medium-high, add ground beef, onion, green pepper, and onion. Stir frequently until onions are tender.

Add in the tomatoes (with their liquid), chili powder, and salt. heat to a boil.

Once boiling reduce the heat to low and cover. Simmer for 1hour, Stirring occasionally.

Stir in beans (with their liquid). heat until hot.

Garnish with Cheddar Cheese (I used white cheddar), and Onion.
