Rigatoni

This was a concoction that Mom came up when she realized we were out of spaghetti sauce. It's a little Italian Mexican fusion

Ingredients
  • 1/2 medium yellow onion (diced )
  • 1/2 green bell pepper (diced)
  • 1 lb hamburger
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • 3 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 can Las Palmas red chile sauce
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 lb rigatoni
  • 8 oz cheddar cheese
Instructions
  1. Cook rigatoni according to package instructions
  2. Fry onion and bell pepper in a little bit of oil until onion is limp
  3. Add hamburger and spices and fry until hamburger is cooked through
  4. Add Las Palmas sauce and stewed tomatoes. Simmer 15 minutes
  5. Mix everything together and place in 9x13 casserole.
  6. Cover with cheddar cheese and bake until cheese melted
