Coconut Candy

When I first looked at this recipe and saw that it had mashed potatoes in it, I was quite curious to say the least! There’s such a small amount in comparison to the other ingredients that they don’t contribute to the taste at all. Merely just a bonding agent. If you love coconut and chocolate these are great for a little snack and to curb your sweet tooth!

Teriyaki Steak

This dish is definitely a crowd-pleaser. Easy to make, this recipe will have your family coming back for seconds (I know mine sure did). I kept it simple with the meat and rice but you could easily add some vegetables like carrots or broccoli to make this dish fit your family’s tastebuds! This is something that I will be making again, and often. Most of your prep is done the day before which makes for quick cooking and flavorful meat. I hope you all love this as much as my family did, enjoy!

Fried Chicken

Whether you live in the South, love game day, or just flat-out love chicken, this recipe is for you. This fried chicken is the definition of GBD, golden-brown and delicious. It’s a classic, flavorful recipe that your family is sure to love, add your favorite sides such as mashed potatoes and coleslaw, and the meal is complete. Happy cooking.

One-Pot Rice and Porkchops

If you’re anything like me, you love one-pot recipes, and why wouldn’t you? They are easy to cook, clean, and enjoy! And this recipe is no exception. Filled with flavor this tender meat and the perfectly cooked rice will be an easy meal to prepare for your family.

Maple Orange Pudding

This is a smooth and sweet pudding that has a little zing by combining orange juice with maple then yogurt or sour cream.       CandiAnne’s Note: We were stationed at Fort Drum, NY for 4 1/2 years and maple weekend is a huge thing there. You can visit numerous producers, taste their wares, and grab some syrup or other goodies on your way out. In 2007 while visiting the various producers I picked up a bunch of recipe pages on all sorts of categories that were put out by Eat Smart New York which is part of the …

Beet Borscht

This healthy, wholesome Beet Borscht is the perfect combination of sweet and sour with a slight tang!!  It’s bursting with color.  A bit of ginger and lemongrass boost the aromatics and makes it just as pleasing to your nose as it is to your taste buds!  Enjoy as a side or meal. Make, enjoy, love!

Peach and Pear Cheesecake

This recipe was a fun new experiment for me. It was originally suppose to be an apricot cheesecake, but due to the pandemic I could not find any apricots at all! I decided to go completely original and chose peaches and pears. This probably won’t be a recipe that’s for everyone’s liking, but it was a lot of fun to make something new and see how it came out! This cheesecake has a nice graham cracker crust with a smooth and creamy peach and pear flavored filling.

Veal Goulash

I love mushrooms and onions. So when I read this recipe I was excited to try it. I have never had veal before and I think it turned out delicious. I made beef flavored rice to go with my goulash. It can be served be itself with a side of bread or as a meat with side dishes like rice or noddles or mash potatoes. This recipe originated in Hungary but has been influenced in other countries.
