These are a normal weekend breakfast around here 🙂 I used baker’s measure for the biscuits so y’all are gonna need a scale.
Ingredients
Adjust Servings
- Sausage Gravy
Instructions
- Sift the dry together
- Cut the butter into the dry until all crumbly, you can cut in with your hand if you don't have a pastry cutter
- Add the milk until just combined - fold 3x - press it out till 3/4" thick and use a 2" circle cutter to cut out the biscuits. You can refold and repress to continue cutting.
- Brush tops with melted butter and bake at 425 for 15 minutes until all puffed up and the tops are pretty golden Sausage (or not) Gravy
- Fry up your sausage at medium heat -- or ignore this if you're a vegetarian
- Sprinkle flour into the pan, if you're a vegetarian add a little butter to the pan and let it melt to imitate the grease from the sausage
- Whisk in the milk until you get that nice thick, beautiful gravy consistency. Add a little salt and all the pepper your heart desires. I like to add a little cayenne along with the black.
- Cut your biscuits in half, pour the gravy on top and enjoy
