My family LOVES wings, and these buffalo wings are no exception. Whether you’re enjoying them on gameday or just making them for family dinner, these wings are sure to please the crowd. Dipping them in blue cheese or ranch is wonderful way to cool the heat and add some extra flavor. I hope you enjoy making these as much as I did!

  • This can be made ahead of time or while your wings are frying. Crumble blue cheese into a small mixing bowl, add mayo, lemon juice, and vinegar. Using a whisk or a hand mixer, stir until combined. Taste and add more lemon or vinegar to suit your desired flavor and consistency. Put in a small bowl to use for dipping the wings.
  • Frying the wings
  • First pour the oil in a pot and begin heatin gto 375 degrees. While heating the oil cut off wing tips, discard, then separate the wingette from the drumette. Coat wings in flour mixture, set on a plate or tray and refrigerate for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • When oil is heated, remove the wings and coat once more in the flour, place wings in the fryer being careful to not overcrowd the pot. Fry for 9 to 12 minutes, until internal temp reaches 165, then remove from oil and set on a rack or paper towel to drain.
  • While the wings drain, put your butter and hot sauce in a pan on low to medium heat. When the butter is melted, stir to combine. After sauce is mixed, place wings in pan and toss to coat with sauce.
  • Finished Product
  • When your sauce is done and your wings are coated, place sauce n the middle of a plate or platter and surround it with the finished wings. If desired, cut celery into sticks and serve alongside to add freshness.
