My family absolutely loved these cookies, they couldn’t stop eating them. I had to swipe two for myself before they polished them off. With such a simple and easy recipe to follow, I honestly did not think that they would turn out so good. So whip up a batch , pour a glass of milk or make yourself a cup of coffee and enjoy!!!

- Mix shortening, sugar, and eggs until completely blended.
- Mix together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.
- Add to egg mixture. Mix well.
- Chill dough.
- Roll into balls the size of small walnuts.
- Roll dough balls into a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
- Place on a greased cookie sheet 2-inches apart.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 400 degrees until lightly brown, but still soft. These cookies puff up first, then flatten out.
