When people think about farmers, they tend to think about older people. This is true, for every 6 farmers over the age of 65 there is only 1 under 35. There are groups that are trying to change that though and help young people be the farmers of the future. Farm-To-Table History

The Farm-To-Table Movement or, as some call it, Farm-To-Fork isn’t new. While it seems to be all the rage currently it does have a history going back to early 1900s. You’ve read about what it is in my previous article, now let’s look at where it came from and why it is gaining such momentum. The original farm-to-table was actually started around 1914 as a postal initiative to transport produce and other items directly from rural areas into the cities.
