Although the title calls this recipe a burger, I have taken the liberty of giving this my take of an open faced BLT. The oregano and parmesan cheese give this an Italian feel and was a big hit with my family. Of course, you can always add a mixture of chicken, pork, or beef patty for a heartier meal.

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Cut bacon slices in half and lay on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake in the oven until crisp, turning the bacon over once. This should take anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes. After the bacon has crisped, place bacon on a plate with paper towels to drain the excess grease.
- Brush one side of the slices of bread with olive oil and toast in a large skillet on medium heat until golden and crisp.
- Place bread on a baking sheet, toasted side down with enough space between each piece. Put a single layer of bacon on each slice. Place two slices of tomato on each and season with salt, pepper, and sprinkle of oregano. Cover tomatoes with 2 slices of provolone and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- In a small bowl, whisk together vinegar, salt, pepper, and oregano until salt has dissolved. Slowly drizzle in olive oil while whisking until the vinaigrette has formed and emulsified.
- Toss salad greens in vinaigrette to lightly coat the greens. Place the greens on warm "bacon burger" and serve immediately.
