  • Cook the onions with butter and meat. Cook until tender and onions are translucent. Heat on medium-high, stirring occasionally so the onions do not stick to the pot and the meat cooks evenly.
  • Add the rice in the pot constantly stirring for five minutes. Still on medium heat. Do not let the rice stick to the bottom it will burn.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients. Nuts are optional. Let is simmer for 20-30 minutes.
  • The product will be finished by how well the rice is cooked. If it is still hard it needs more time. Once everything is cooled down serve.
