Apple Spice Cake

Apple pie or apple cake, if it’s too much pressure to choose between them then why not have both! This fun recipe takes a twist of fresh apple pie, and will leave your guests asking for seconds! It is pretty much guaranteed, that there will be no leftovers.

  • Caramel Topping

  • Combine and mix dry ingredients
  • Combine and mix wet ingredients
  • Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until combined
  • Place peeled apple slices on bottom of greased pan. (only if you use fresh fruit in this recipe)
  • Pour batter on top of apples (Skip this step if no fruit is used)
  • Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees
  • Caramel Topping
  • mix brown sugar, heavy whipping cream, butter, salt in sauce pan on medium low heat. Whisk continuously for 5 to 7 minutes
  • Remove from heat and add vanilla extract. Whisk for about 2 more minutes.
  • Pour in glass jar and keep in fridge until ready to use

Notes

This recipe can be made with or without the peeled, cut apples.
