Chili Con Carne

This recipe is so versatile, you can have it as a main course at lunch or dinner, or even as an appetizer, with some chips.

  • In 5qt pot heat salad olive oil on medium-high, add ground beef, onion, green pepper, and onion. Stir frequently until onions are tender.
  • Add in the tomatoes (with their liquid), chili powder, and salt. heat to a boil.
  • Once boiling reduce the heat to low and cover. Simmer for 1hour, Stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in beans (with their liquid). heat until hot.
  • Garnish with Cheddar Cheese (I used white cheddar), and Onion.
