- Place chops in frying pan, covered, over medium heat for 5 minutes to draw out some of the juices. Then uncover, cook until juices have evaluated and meat is well browned on both sides. About 15min total time. Set aside.
- Add wine and broth to pan scraping up the browned bits
- Arrange potatoes in single layer in pan. Place chops on top. Cover and cook until potatoes are tender, about 25 minutes.
- Arrange chops at one end of 10"-12" shallow oval casserole. Place potatoes at other end. Cover with foil to keep warm.
- Add whipping cream to sauce in pan over high heat. Bring to a boil and reduce by half.
- Turn heat to low, add butter and nutmeg and mix well until butter is melted.
- Place cheese over potatoes and brown/melt under broiler for a few minutes
- Pour sauce over pork
